Adventure Town Build — Proof of Concept Overview
Adventure Town Build is a cozy survival‑builder prototype focused on exploration, resource gathering, environmental survival, and early‑stage town construction. This Proof of Concept demonstrates the core systems, visual direction, and gameplay loop that will define the full game.
1. World & Exploration (POC Screenshots Included)
The current build includes two playable biomes:
- Snowy Forest Biome
- Snow‑covered terrain
- Temperature hazards (hypothermia risk)
- Hidden items (crystals, chests)
- Houses and interactable structures
- Early lighting/sparkle indicators for points of interest
- Green Forest / River Biome
- Traversable land bridges
- Dense tree clusters
- Water physics for rivers
- Exploration pathways for future encounters
These areas demonstrate the intended cozy overworld exploration and pixel‑art aesthetic.

Cooking

5. Core Gameplay Loop (POC Goal)
The POC demonstrates the foundation of the intended loop:
- Explore biomes
- Gather resources (fish, wood, ore)
- Survive environmental hazards
- Discover hidden locations and items
- Return resources to build and expand your town (future phase)
The loop is designed to be cozy, low‑pressure, and exploration‑driven, with survival elements that add tension without punishing the player.
6. POC Purpose
This build is meant to validate:
- Art direction
- Biome feel
- Player movement + physics
- Early survival mechanics
- Resource gathering flow
- Overworld exploration
- Technical feasibility of moon phases, sailing, and on‑map combat
It is not a content‑complete demo — it’s a systems testbed and visual tone prototype.
